Looking for a great summer football camp? Offense Defense Football Camps are hosted all over the United States every summer and have been running for over 41 years! The camp will provide athlete strength and agility training along with skill development necessary to become a leader in the football world.

O-D is a contact football camp for youth athletes looking to get better in the off season and improve their athletic resume. The coaching staff and the support staff have developed training programs that follow the four C’s… Coaching, Curriculum, contact, and Commitment.

Click here for a list of Offense Defense Football Camp Locations

By adhering to the guidelines that go along with the four C’s the coaching staff will provide the campers with all necessary forms of direction that will not only build skill but will also teach lifelong lessons in teamwork, responsibility, discipline, family values, respect and the importance of working hard to achieve our goals.

The Offense-Defense camp has been providing directions for football players every summer for the past 41 years. They have had years of experience in training the participating campers to work towards their ultimate goal, playing football like the professionals.

Offense-Defense football camps have a number of professional football players as part of their team. They include Levon Kirkland of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Lendale White of the Tennessee Titans, Michael Bush of the Oakland Raiders, and Justin Smiley of the Miami Dolphins. The skill base that comes from these four professional football players alone can take a camper to the next level in their football playing abilities for sure. The alumni of the Offense-Defense football camps provide high praises for these camps and can credit some of their successes in the football world to the knowledge and skills that they fine tuned at this camp.

Just one summer at the Offense-Defense football camps, the attendees will be much more prepared to get on the field at their school during the next football season. The combination of individual instruction time and the comprehensive drills will give them the edge that they need to be successful.

There are thousands of high-school football players that are interested in playing football on a college level, yet very few of them know what’s important in getting recruited for college football. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about the recruitment process and what’s important, and knowing what the misconceptions are (so that you can avoid them) can give you a huge advantage. Here are the 3 biggest myths that hold most young football players back. Don’t let them hold you back from your dreams.

The first myth is that the college football recruitment process begins while you’re still in high-school and sending highlight reels to coaches. The truth is, the recruitment process actually begins long before this point. Getting recruited for college football can start as early as the seventh grade, and let me explain why. Even though in high-school, coaches may not be allowed to contact players regarding recruitment, you’re still allowed to contact them. You can call text or email coaches whenever you want. This is a great add-on to going to summer camps held at the colleges. It’s never too early to start getting in contact with coaches about your future in college football.

The second myth is that it’s your coaches job to get you recruited or get you a scholarship to play college football. The truth is, although coaches can be your biggest asset, and a tremendous help in getting recruited by the college of your choice to play football, ultimately it’s up to you to find a way to get recruited. Coaches have a lot of athletes to worry about amongst their other responsibilities, and therefore may not be able to give you enough individual attention. You have to be willing to take on that responsibility – especially in the case that you have a coach who is simply unwilling to help you get recruited for college football. Use the help of your coach whenever you can, but in the end, you’re the one that needs to come up with the plan and put in the effort.

Myth Number Three is “having a good highlight video and combined numbers will be enough to get recruited to play college football”. Every year, extremely talented high-school football players make this mistake, and are surprised when they don’t get recruited by the college of their choice. While your highlight tape and combined numbers are very important, you can’t rely on them completely. So what else do you need to get recruited? Two of the things coaches are looking for the most are a positive attitude and an outstanding work ethic. In fact, if you can prove to a coach that you’re a hard worker with a great attitude, sometimes it can be even more important than your highlights or numbers. I’ve even met players who got recruited to play college football without ever playing football in high-school based on their attitude and work ethic alone.

Now that you’ve learned the three biggest myths that hold the majority of high-school football players back in the college football recruitment process, you’ll be able to avoid the roadblocks that effect your competition. By staying focused on the important factors such as working hard and taking responsibility, you’ll be able to pass up your competition and increase your chances of being recruited to play football for the college of your choice. Now get out there and show those coaches who you are and what you can do!

Anyone trying out for high school football should look at some of these pointers to help them prepare and get as much of an advantage as possible. Here are a couple of suggestions that will increase your chances of success.

First and foremost, having an idea of the game and the rules will be pretty helpful. Know your stuff, and apply that to the position that you desire to play. Also, make time to learn the basics before you go on the field.

Getting to play in school means playing now and getting practice in. Look for amateur football teams or camps in your area and get on the field. This will not only help you make your moves better, but you will also learn more about the roles other team mates have.

Another thing that is important is that you need to work out, and work out hard. Your body needs all the help it can get, and the more time you invest in preparing now will make all the difference on the field later. Your strength and stamina will improve, as well as your presence on the field when you play.

You can also find practice drills online that you can follow and use in your spare time to sharpen your skills.

In addition to developing a solid practice routine, one other key component to he process is to eat healthy and make sure that you are doing it every day. This will make your body run at top performance while also helping your mind work faster and sharper.

Right off the bat, you should eliminate drinking soda from your diet all together. Not only is it loaded with sugar, but it will also help you to breathe better. Stay away from soda if at all possible.

One final thing that you can do now is to meet the coaching staff and talk with them. They can share their expectations, rules and even offer some ideas on how you can get prepared. Most importantly, you get to introduce yourself and that can be very helpful down the line.

In 1953, a championship team was born: the Indianapolis Colts. Starting out in Baltimore, Maryland, the Colts began as the Baltimore Colts, playing in their home state. They didn’t end up in Indianapolis until 1984 where they played for many years at the Hoosier (now RCA) Dome. They have been named the horseshoes because of their logo and basic colors are blue and white, with the simple logo stamped on top.

The Colts didn’t start out as a winning team, however. When they were first playing in Indianapolis, they had a very difficult time. They lost, year and year again, and a huge depression sunk into the team. However, they finally selected a new coach, Ron Meyer, to replace their old one, and then the Colts took off. Under Ron Meyer, the Colts won their last three games of the season.

From that point on, the Colts’ luck took a promising turn and the team saw one victory after another. Of course, they still lost occasionally, but finally ended with the best winning record of all the NFL. Meyer was finally replaced by Bill Polian in 1996. At that point, a lot of drafts were made and older players who bogged down the team were gotten rid of. Then, new players such as Peyton Manning were selected for the team, starting a new era for the Colts.

All the Mannings have a history of being excellent football players, and Peyton Manning was no exception. He helped the team rise to victory from 1996 on. Now they continue to hold the title because of Peyton Manning’s leadership ability and excellent football skill.

In 2007, the Colts took their place in NFL history. The Super Bowl was played at Dolphin Stadium in the rain. The Chicago Bears faced the Colts, and they lost. At this point, the Colts not only won the Super Bowl but also became the first team to win in the rain and to win in an outdoor stadium.

Among the historical roster of the Colts are players like Art Donovan and Johnny Unitas. They’ve had several other Hall of Fame players as well. The team’s success has largely been attributed to players and coaches like these, who’ve proven to be excellent at understanding just how pro football works.

Unlike most teams, the Colts haven’t dealt with drama and troubled relationships within the team that many NFL teams have to deal with. Most of the Colt’s conflicts have stemmed from individual players being unable to carry their weight defensively or offensively. There’s no sordid history for this team.

The Colts continue to have training camps annually in Anderson, Indiana. This is one NFL team that doesn’t bother with silly drama and player troubles. They focus on the point of the game, which is strategy and skill. They have never let themselves be beat by the odds, and as long as they keep this attitude, they’ll continue to be a winning team.

Most people love to play football and it is still recognized the world over as one of the most popular sports to play. Playing football can give you many advantages in life. You build a sense of strategy both on and off the field and you learn how to connect well with others that you work with, since football is the ultimate team sport.

You must be able to follow strict rules of discipline and must be fully dedicated to get anywhere in the sport of football if you want to make an impact.

The benefit of working out daily at football is that it can give you mental strength as well as physical strength. Not only do you need to be really disciplined but you also need to follow a rigid training program.

Footballers require a whole lot of stamina to be able to perform at the highest level all the time. They must also be able to concentrate for the entire match and beyond. The slightest lack of concentration or discipline can be the difference between winning and losing the match.

Many of today’s football stars are a big influence on the youngsters. Football is great for teaching the kids about being competitive but also being gracious in defeat. It can also teach them the importance of working as part of a team.

Carrying the right attitude is vitally important as it can have a major bearing on not only the game but on how people see you. There have been many instances of bad attitude in football that has led to players getting into trouble. Behaving like this on the pitch could make people behave the same in the real world and that is not acceptable.

Football is great at teaching all of us how to handle ourselves when we succeed and how to cope with the disappointment of losing. This is a good lesson that we can take with us in our personal lives.

Because of all the good lessons that can be learned by playing football, Colleges and schools now use football as an extra curricular activity so they can teach their students how to behave away from the pitch.
